Hongkong in 2010 September 16 / CNW / - eighty-six Antwerp Diamond Corp inSeptember Hongkong jewelry exhibition at the Antwerp Diamond Museum, becomethe largest in Asia, across two sites in Hong Kong National pavilion.
Asiaworld Expo was held from September 14th to 18 exhibition diamond, pearl,precious stones and related equipment, and the Antwerp museum is located atDiamond Hall 5; in September 16th to 20 in Hongkong Convention and ExhibitionCenter Exhibition held by the finished jewelry as the theme.
The Antwerp World Diamond Center (AWDC) is the official sponsor of the September 14th, held at the Asiaworld Expo opening reception on September 16th,AWDC’s marketing department senior manager Mia De Ms. Dooy in CMP Asia in Hongkong Exhibition Center hosted on the press conference about the diamond industry in Hongkong and the mainland of the prospect of meeting.
De Ms. Dooy explained the diamond industry accounted for 5% of GDP in Belgium,and has become a heavy jewelry equipment to source of export income. "In the first 8 months of 2010, the Belgian exports China finished diamond than the same period last year increased 50%, while exports to Hongkong increased by 34%, a total of $1650000000." She said. "This has accounted for a total of finished diamond Antwerp exports about 1/4, to our exports to America share."
De, Ms. Dooy said, "Antwerp and China is the perfect partner. China with boomingconsumer market and ambition fervently active at different levels of the diamond industry leading position, Antwerp has more than 5 centuries of the diamond trade,as well as the traditional industry, specialized knowledge, rich in both hands,strength, indicates the good prospect."
The design of AWDC, in order to effectively to the buyers to show a variety ofdiamonds in Antwerp. The exhibition hall with open space corridor, from FlandersInvestment & Trade Bureau (FIT) sponsorship, exhibitors and visitors can relax while the business negotiations, tasting the Belgian beer and chocolate. Open space corridor more become exhibitors during the exhibition of Internet cafes.
The organizers said, there were more than 3200 exhibitors from 45 countries, is expected to attract from more than 140 countries about 40000 buyers.
